Butler County Auditor Roger Reynolds addresses the media on Feb. 24, 2020 to advocate for House Bill 499 and fuel quality testing. The bipartisan bill, introduced by Reps. George Lang and Brigid Kelly, would allow county auditors the authority to test fuel for octane level, water and sediment.
As a conductor Dr. Butler has been the conductor of the UMES Wind Ensemble, HBCU Trombone Choir, Associate Conductor of the Brighton Symphony and Eastman Trombone Choir and Brass Guild. He studied conducting with Brad Lubman, William Weinert, Mark Scatterday and Kynan Johns. While in NYC he was a frequent performer on numerous Broadway shows and many other prestigious musical performances. He has toured, recorded and performed with many of the country?s leading jazz orchestras including Cab Calloway, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, Mingus Big Band, Glenn Miller, Birdland Big Band and Jimmy Heath. Orchestra. Also at home playing classical music he has performed with the Orchestra of St. Lukes, Rochester Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic. Dr .Butler is a Conn-Selmer clinician and performing artist.

The Butler VA Health Care System provides primary care, behavioral health, specialized extended care, physical rehabilitation medicine, and residential substance abuse treatment serving over 27,000 veterans in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. The Butler VA HCS operates 60 nursing home care beds, 10 CWT-TR and 56 domiciliary beds at the facility's medical center located at 325 New Castle Road, Butler, PA - on an 88-acre campus three miles northwest of Butler, Pa., on route 356. The system also operates its main facility located at the Abie Abraham VA Outpatient Clinic located at 353 N Duffy Road in Butler, PA. The system's outpatient programs generate approximately 215,000 visits per year. Butler VA also operates Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Armstrong, Clarion, Butler (Cranberry Township), Larence and Mercer counties. The facility is part of the VA Healthcare VISN 4 network, which includes 8 other VA facilities in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Butler VA enjoys a close partnership with the Butler Health System (BHS), a community health care network which serves 8 counties in western Pennsylvania north of Pittsburgh, PA. Patients requiring emergency and critical care-- who are unable to travel to VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System-- are often referred to BHS.

Butler VA is affiliated with 39 colleges and universities (locally and nationwide). Currently, the affiliation agreements cover programs in diverse fiels such as audiology, psychology, nursing, social work, counseling, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, recreation, dietary, community health, medical assistant and phlebotomy. The educational levels range from the certificate level and up through the bachelor, masters and doctoral degree levels. Additionally, there is an agreement with a local vocational-technical school. Our training emphasizes learning specific skills through collaboration and teamwork while demonstrating those clinical skills under the supervision of a content expert.
